A message to kenechukwu


 I am writing this to you kenechukwu. Happy birthday. 🎂 welcome to a new age. Have a sit, i have some things to discuss with you.

This is another year of your life, a closer step to the end of life. I thank God for you. 

Over the years you have burnt candles, flown roses, celebrated winings and as well, cried on failures. You have made mistakes in life which you might never correct again. You however, have taken some decision which has given your life a carve. 

For this new age you just attained, you won awards, made some improvements and learned a lot. You met new friends, new brothers, and new life partners and the newness keeps increasing. You have started your life project, and anticipate to make it worth the time. You have accomplished a lot indeed, kudos. But the journey is still far.

Do you remember the things you did wrong? They are many, I might not be able to pen them down for you. The wrong steps you took. The bad decisions you made. The good things you failed to do. They are numerous, let me mention but a few.

Today, you don't need to forget the errors you made. You don't as well need to carry them like a backpack and continue. You need to sit, look at them and learn from them.

You have a weakness as a person. You trust too much. You listen too much. You procrastinate too much. You love too much. You also neglect too much. Everything that has 'too' portrays negative. If you continue with the above excesses, you won't get to your desired destination.

I know the pressures of the present day will come on you. You may be moved to do things you wouldn't likely do. You may be pressured to take a step that you disgusted before. However, you should understand that if you are staying among the ignorant, you try everything possible not to receive gifts from them. When this pressures come, know the person you are, know the place you are headed to and take the route of discipline.

Already you have taken the right step by not following the crowd. But remember, where a child is crying and pointing fingers repeatedly, if the mother isn't there, the father will be there. If everyone is complaining about the same thing, pay rapt attention to know the mistake you are making.

The ink won't allow me to finish everything but always respect friendship. Respect humanity. Respect people. And respect yourself. 

God has equipped you to do the unimaginable. Always praise and worship him. Place him first but don't be lazy. The rejected stone today can become a corner stone tomorrow.

          HOW I TELL MY STORY. 5 As the smell of resumption became more perceivable, I knew there was a need for me to start looking for a house off campus. But I had a problem then, I needed a very affordable accommodation as I had spent all my money preparing for other things including paying for my acceptance fee.
